An outstanding piece of theatre which gives you insights into the minds of decision-makers in desperate times. Productions like this show that you don't need drones, CGI and a huge cast. Theatre works perfectly when actors who can act are given the space to engage and move people. With a great script and people who intelligently inhabit their roles, it made for a wonderful play which deserves a much bigger audience.
And I'm not just saying that because one of the actors has the same name as me :-)

An enjoyable example of historical theatre with the important aspects of the declaration of war address being covered with Chamberlain's personal struggles around the event being explored. The format of the performance including some very well performed songs from era really adds something else to the show.

Classily done. Could have easily been too long but it was kept tightly around the day of the war declaration broadcast. The actor portraying Chamberlain was particularly convincing. One actor was a beautiful singer, who sang songs from the era. Captivating.
