Description

Bluffing Your Way in Ballet pirouettes its fast-paced and irreverent way through the history of ballet. Whizz with us beyond the tutu with stories and dances from the ballet greats, including Isadora Duncan, Václav Nijinsky and Margot Fonteyn. Never heard of them but love ballet? You'll be in safe hands! The company will perform, in avant-garde fashion, the intrigue, tragedy and magic of ballet's greatest stars, past and present. Our ballerina Alexandra danced with The Royal Ballet and with some of these ballet stars. She's delighted to share her knowledge and experiences with you.

Fun, informative show! A bit of history, a bit of dance/movement and lots of lightheartedness! Bravi!

A very enjoyable hour where we were taken on a journey through the origins and evolution of ballet, highlighting all the major producers and dancers.

It was especially amazing to see Alexandra, in her 70s, give us a glimpse of Swan Lake! Still so beautiful!

4/5 and recommended!

When booking a show you only have the title to go on, plus the blurb from the artist themselves.
Title here is a bit of a misnomer in as much as the protagonist was an actual Ballet Performer.
A brief history of ballet illustrated with various live excerpts.
If you are at all interested or want to be interested in things balletic then this is the show for you.
Highly entertaining and also informative. Ten marks out of ten!

This was a lighthearted whiz through the history of ballet though felt slightly self indulgent in places.
I enjoyed the music and gentle humour.
