Description

Many many years ago, we had so many ways to tell stories: books, movies and something we've heard is called the internet. Now, all of that is lost, and we only have our memories. Join our group of traveling storytellers in hearing three tales by the fabled Brothers Grimm: The Three Snake Leaves, Faithful Johannes, and The Robber Bridegroom. Brought to you from the United States by New York City's Stairwell Theater Company.

Thirsty for Captain Johangie 29 days ago

I’m not a doctor but I’m pretty sure Captain Johangie impregnated me from across the room. 10/10, five stars, see it if you know what’s good for you.

I highly recommend this show. The cast had the audience laughing and engaged from the start. The show was well staged and the performers were excellent. This show is surprising and delightful.

With so many show available it is difficult to determine what to see. The Blood won’t disappoint.

I saw this show in Edinburgh last night. I took 3 of my high school students and we sat in The front row.

They have not stopped raving about the show. It was an amazing example of theatre not needing a giant stage and elaborate sets and costumes to have great storytelling. The cast was excellent and connected and worked so well with each other. The stories were engaging and magnificently presented. My students were amused and terrified and throughly entertained during your performance.

We want to thank you and congratulate you on a fantastic show. We hope your run at the Fringe is filled with amazing moments for you all. Thank you for sharing your stories with us.

An entertaining and spooky journey through three lesser known Grimm’s tales brought to life by a talented group of performers. Carefully crafted and clearly directed!

With atmospheric singing, appropriate silliness and genuine spooks, the ensemble really pulled on the thread of these eerily dark stories. For fans of the Brothers Grimm, I'd recommend this retelling.

Engaging, provocative, delightfully immersive experience with 3 “new to us” fairy tales brought to life by the talented Stairwell theatre troupe! The underlying questions on mortality, power, and social class resonate today. For us, time well spent!

A night of terror and comedy! Three obscure Grimm tales brought into the light by the talented Stairwell Theatre will certainly have you laughing. No better way to enjoy some mead and a slice of bread!

55 minute play, 54 minutes too long.

The mead was pretty banging though.
