Description

Tommy, Matty and Dougie look to ditch the day job for the disco. But with the disco comes drugs. Does that matter? Everybody takes drugs. But Matty didn't take them seriously. Tackling attitudes towards recreational drugs and the culture surrounding them, this dark comedy explores the dangers of drug stigma, media misinformation and perils they hold for mental health. An assault on the senses, with temptation, terror, tunes and trauma from every angle, Bits ‘N’ Pieces reveals what it's like to come of age in the height of Scotland's Drug Death Crisis. Winner: Best Scottish Production 2022.

The actors in this show give their all and total commitment to a subject that is all too familiar to the young people of the city - the very lethal danger of recreational drug abuse. A tad pedantic, a wee bit over written, it holds your attention and draws you in with its earnestness and compelling real world storyline. Deserves to continue on as a piece of entertaining, hypnotic and vitally edifying work of theater. More should see this play than merely at Fringe.

Saltire Sky always deliver a great show and they did not disappoint, 1902 still stands as one of my favourite shows I’ve ever seen at the fringe and bits and pieces is up there too, great story line, great acting and great music (live dj) you even get up for a boogie, I came along with my friend who also loved it , really good show highly recommend

Incredible piece of theatre that Scotland needs to see. Performances were powerful and having a live DJ in the space and the audience being invited to join in the rave mid show really makes you feel part of it. This is what the fringe is about. Was in tears by the end too. Just loved it.

Have now seen this show 4 times in the past couple of years, and am as impressed by it now as I was on my first visit! I wondered if the venue change may affect my enjoyment, but needless to say these guys pulled it off big time!!!! The show is hard hitting and informative at the same time, the cast are just brilliant, the writing is superb, all in all a stunning show! Definitely one to see, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Such an amazing show was really impressed by the young casts performances especially as it was close to the audience. Highs, Lows, Humor, grief it had it all. Not to mention a fantastic sound track.
I have been telling everyone about it - Go and see you will be impressed and this talented group.

SCOTTISH THEATRE IS WHERE ITS AT!

Fast paced. Hilarious. Touching. Aggressive. Interrogative. Gripping. Fascinating. Rhythmic. Musical. Hard-hitting. And the list goes on. Best I’ve seen this fringe, make sure you’ve booked a ticket!

Fantastic performance of a heartfelt yet comical story about working class reality. Casted with a group of extremely talented actors and storytellers. This is my second time seeing this show and it won’t be my last! Highly recommend.

This is magic on stage. Does exactly what it says on the tune because it broke me into literal Bits n Pieces. Go see it. It’s amazing.
