Description

A group of stereotypically attractive and slightly dim young people trapped in a fun fair haunted house. There’s a lion on the loose outside, but something even scarier going on inside. From award-winning playwright and director Frankie Regalia comes a new satirical horror-comedy about youth, survival, and a big scary cat. Will they all make it out alive? More importantly, do you want them to?

You'll be charmed by this show from the moment you enter the theatre. Whip-smart dialogue and actors who embody the characters with brilliant comedic timing, this is perfect for anyone who grew up on teen comedy and/or horror movies in the 2000s, and for anyone who just needs a good laugh in the afternoon. Don't miss!

This was such a fun piece by a lovely group of committed and talented actors from Acting Coach Scotland. I loved the characterisations and interactions between the group as they played out a day at a theme park gone wrong and the cast brought the whole thing to life so fabulously. Some genuine laughs and some delightful surprises as the story developed. Fab and fun and a bit of welcome light relief. Loved it

Genuinely funny, best show I have seen at the fringe.

Highly recommend this funny show, which was well acted and with very believable characters played by a young cast - in fact, I felt they had probably taken inspiration from observing the way their peers interact. Their comedic timing was great.
Another reviewer said this was a great show for younger people, but if (like me) you’ve ever brought up children or worked with older teens and young adults, I think this play will be very relatable even for us ‘oldies’!

A great fun romp which had me laughing. A show full of character driven nuanced humour which was lovingly and skillfully performed by its cast. By the end I felt I was watching characters from a favourite sitcom. I highly recommend.

3 stars - a decent show I would say. Quite predictable plot-wise and structure-wise but there were some real highlights like the character who wore the mask and was obsessed with becoming an actor, he was very funny. Everyone else acted pretty well too and the show was quite amusing and enjoyable throughout.

A hilarious play matched by equally hilarious performances. Great one liners and comedic timing from the cast throughout the play. I would recommend this show to everyone especially younger people. This show is definitely worth a watch.

Big Scary Cat is a fun, timely look at the chronically online Gen Z and toxic masculinity.
