Description

Award-winning Becky Fury (her real name) investigates the challenging identity that is being British-ish. Covering nuanced and potentially edgy subjects like colonialism and less edgy ones, like chicken tikka lasagna, this show offers an anarchic, affectionate, and non-judgmental view of national identity. Becky uses her equally complex identity as a British-ish, brown-ish and nonbinary-ish (or to use old-fashioned gender jargon: tomboy), to celebrate the inclusiveness (or is it theft?) that lies at the heart of what makes us British-ish. 'Finest sticks of comedy dynamite to be found for love or a suggested donation' ****
