Description

It's almost Mother's Day. In Alice's mind, the day of reckoning. She's been waiting for this moment for months. Just to see what will happen. Mother's Day can't possibly exist without her mother, right? A series of witty and heartfelt vignettes depicting a turbulent friendship while working through a life-changing loss. Alice is pushing Jo away, Jo won't let her go. 'It'll get better' Jo tells her, 'take it one step at a time. Baby steps.'

An absolutely gorgeous show about the knots that form in a relationship after a major loss. So incredibly heartfelt, and I had a proper little cry at the end. Beautifully written and performed.

Brilliant performances and great storytelling which drew the whole audience in beautifully. Touches of humour brought the characters to life, and some thought provoking ideas around grief and friendship. Wonderful, my favourite show of the Fringe!

Absolutely heart wrenching performances from all, this show was a beautiful way to spend an hour! Excellent dialogue played naturally by the actors made me feel like I was spying on two real people rather than watching a show. Highly recommend, this felt professional !

You will need to bring a hankie. Fantastic writing by Alfie and such sensitive performances from the 2 actors. Emotional rollercoaster. Bravo

This show is one of the most moving pieces to ever be written. It is a heartfelt piece with funny moments, and will leave you wanting to hug the person next to you. It makes you appreciate those close to you in your life, I will never get bored of seeing this play. You can tell all of the team who have worked on this care about what they have brought to the fringe, it shows in the acting and the writing. You would be silly to miss this new writing by Alfie Pullum

I was blown away by this show. The two actors were incredibly impressive and the script was top notch. Baby Steps pulled on all my heart strings - it had me close to tears and then laughing within 2 minutes. If I could give it 6 stars I would.

Such a beautiful show. The dynamic between the actresses was incredible and felt so real. I was laughing and crying along with them! Was surprised at how much light was brought to a topic as heavy as grief - and the ending felt very hopeful. A lovely show! Will probably come and see it again!
