Description
Asli Akbay is and always has been a Tomboy. Born in the 1980s, back when no one even knew they had pronouns to defend, Asli was already on her own gender-fluid journey, climbing trees and shunning skirts. But as a teenager, things got complicated. Convinced she had to look 'girly' to attract boys, Asli grew her hair and accepted life in a female body. As a TomAdult she now thinks she knows better than to kowtow to Instagram grooming levels. But does it have to be so... ahem... binary? Join her on this comedic coming-of-age gender journey. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. I enjoyed Asli's show and life story. She was frank about herself (a bit too frank time to time) and be at peace with herself. Her jokes were funny and enjoyable. I'm looking forward to her next show!
