Description

How do strippers celebrate Halloween? Why do strippers wear those clear plastic shoes? And what really happens in the VIP room? Stacey Clare (author, The Ethical Stripper), Gypsy Charms (creator, The Illicit Thrill) plus special guests return in the flesh with their riotously funny, raucously feminist show. Harder questions. Deeper subjects. Nothing is off limits as they pull back the G-string to bare all, revealing (in more ways than one) the mysteries that surround their work and industry. Ever had a burning question you wanted to ask a stripper? There's a cream for that.

Stacey, the main part of the act had a different companion with her than the one shown right. Guess what? I found out that I'd also been to a venue in Shoreditch which Stacey had performed.
Great stuff, lots of discussion about working rights for exploited women and the Strippers collective as well as tongue in cheek humour.

Friendly, funny, sexy and intelligent.
I learnt a lot and laughed a lot. The performers were fantastic, the audience were curious and respectful, and venue was excellent, all staff were welcoming.

Venue Access:
Staff approached me as soon as I arrived and sorted out a seat at the bar for me, when it was time for the performance they carried my drink, offered me assistance up the small flight of stairs and escorted me to an accessible seat they'd reserved. There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor. It doesn't take a standard radar key but staff were quick to spot me trying to use it and bring the correct key over. There are standard toilets on the same floor as the performance room, however these have a tiled floor that may make them challenging for stick or crutch users. The venue accepts cards only. The performers accept cash or card tips.

Overall, an informative insight into a hidden yet well-known profession which gives the audience a better understanding and an opportunity to ask direct questions and receive direct answers.
