Arielle Dundas: Hyperactivity Disorder

Comedy (stand-up, neurodiversity-led)

  • Babes in arms policy: Babies do not require a ticket
  • Policy applies to: Children under 18 months

Description

Arielle Dundas explores the ways her ADHD has impacted her life from making carelesss mistakes to breaking her own heart. From misplacing her keys to losing her mind over politics. From struggling with time management to healing her relationship with her body. Relatable for people with ADHD. Informative for people without it. Hilarious for everyone. Arielle is a stunningly talented performer (at least that's what she's written in this description) who has performed all over the world, including two hours at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Philosophical, but personal. Silly, but cerebral. Provocative, but primarily hysterical.

A Fringe veteran - despite her youth - Dundas is completely assured behind the microphone, with expertly crafted writing, and an equally charismatic improvised Q&A portion. It’s no surprise that a show all about ADHD is so consistently great at swerving the longueurs of boredom that almost every other 60 minute Fringe stand-up set includes.

Funny, likable and highly knowledgeable about ADHD. I have ADHD but I learnt loads of stuff from this show (just hope I remember it.... Incup incup incup). I'm also an ADHd comedian and I found this show immensely validating and relatable. If you're someone who thinks everyone has ADHD, go see this show, and it will set you straight (hopefully). Highly recommended. Fun.

Arielle says I make her nervous. (She says she would rather tell her secrets to strangers:) I thought she was very funny (and she’s a genius too BTW) but she will be even funnier when I am not there and I am never going again.

Arielle did not get her verbal acuity from me, supposedly her father. On a good day I may say 6 words. “Here are today’s: Arielle is hilarious.”

Arielle is hilariously relatable and her observations about ADHD & related issues are on point!

Explainer for ADD/ADHD given, Arielle flies into her crib-card led show, touching on dating & sex, doctors, prescription drugs, concern trolling, attachment theory, dopamine boosting, and a few ADD anectodes which will tickle your receptors. Hang on for the ride; there is no actual need to finish a sent...
