Description

2017. Chloe and Mark re-locate to Manchester. Twenty-two people are killed at The Manchester Arena during an Ariana Grande concert. The One Love concert is held for the victims. The play mixes debates with the American political philosopher Noam Chomsky and the story of a couple coming undone. To go with the flow for pleasant life or stand fast to what you believe in? Can you do one while pretending to do the other? A provocative duologue looking at populism vs principles and the temptation to switch off from the world outside our own lives vs engagement.

It was good, was hoping for some deeper relational bits - a bit jarring at times when they cut back and forth between the two storylines and didn't quite see all of the connections but maybe that's just me

Brilliant. Beautifully acted, lovely storytelling, thought-provoking, poignant and even manages a few laughs on top of that.

Very entertaining and a great acting duo. Extremely thought provoking on some serious topics but counterbalanced by humerous exchanges. Recommend!

The most original and bittersweet take on relationship breakdown that I’ve seen at this year’s fringe. Whether you like Noam Chomsky or Ariana Grande or not - go and see it !!

I saw the show in Brighton. Superb acting. Ariana, especially came across so convincing and natural. Both actors have great energy and the topic was thought provoking.

Two absolutely brilliant actors serving a dramatic piece. The subject of the piece is a topical and brings us emotionally to reflect on our world. This show is one of the little hidden gems that the Fringe reveals! A must see!!

Brilliant show. Thought provoking on several levels. Strong performances. Male actor was so convincing, I wanted to punch him! Poignant and amusing, while making important points. Nice venue. Loved it!

Ariana vs Chomsky is a brave and provocative piece of writing, and one that stays with you long after you leave the theatre.
