Description

Britain. 1960s. Homosexuality: a criminal offence. The music of Cilla Black: a powerful reflection of the gay community's pain and loneliness. But amidst the arrests, shame and heartbreak, a beautiful story filled with love, optimism and joy prevails. Written/performed by celebrated LGBTQ+ activist and award-winning queer cabaret icon Alex Green; produced by internationally acclaimed Rich Watkins (Happily Ever Poofter/Reclaiming Harry) and featuring performances of the songs of the legendary Cilla Black – the world premiere of this heartfelt, inspirational play is not to be missed. Dedicated to all those prevented from living their truth.
