Description

Sophocles' tale of youthful defiance and aged intransigence is reworked by a young cast. Antigone is a story of an individual, a family and a state turned in on themselves and driven to destruction – and of young people burdened with the cares of the ages. Antigone must choose between loyalty and obedience – and her choice will determine the fate of all those around her. This company has performed to acclaim in Edinburgh before, and returns now with their fresh and fierce new take on Sophocles' timeless tale: a version that speaks to purists and iconoclasts alike.
