Description
A show about the history of misogyny in western medicine. Oops, we mean the history of women in western medicine! Join our quest to recover Doctor She’s “Miracle Cure”, a wellness supplement lost since the 13th century, much like the story of the doctor herself. In a madcap blend of humour, games, speculative fiction, interactive storytelling and totally gross medical facts, we’ll share the incredible history of this extraordinary literary figure from Bocaccio and Shakespeare. And for a reasonable fee, we might even cure you! Doctor She was an incredibly fun show - I've rarely been to a one performer show that truly felt so engaging for the audience. Whether through the most opt-in friendly version of audience participation or referencing things we think we should know or remember and shifting our reality just a little, I really felt like I was trying to guess what was next the whole time. The combination of Shakespeare, history, game shows and snake oil is a winning one.

This is a quite brilliant show by an exceptional performer. A moving story, very well told and beautifully put together and I guarantee it will make you think about a lot of very important and emotional issues.
Don't miss - it is quite inspirational!
