This was a charming and energetic performance, and Louise is clearly a very talented singer. I found the song choices a bit incoherent, though, and I would have liked at least some continuity in genre. Original songs would have elevated this production to incorporate the song breaks more seamlessly into the narrative.
For a show about Austen, there could have been a little more critical analysis of Austen, rather than a retelling of one of her books.

Funny and heart warming story as well as beautiful songs. All complemented by Louise's flawless voice and engaging acting. I warmly recommend this show!

What an amazing voice Louise has. If you love numbers from old musicals, new musicals and some well known joyful opera arias this is for you. Add the comical and superbly written Jane Austin-like script and you have Almost Austin. Fabulous. Don't miss this performance.

What a wonderful show, a must for any Janeite! I loved the excerpts from Northanger Abbey and how they helped weave the story, also the songs added so much. I particularly enjoyed those from old classic musicals, I could have danced all night from My Fair Lady being the stand out for me. Go see this!

A delightful "rom-com opera" brought to life by Louise's exceptional voice! Her singing was exquisite (despite the less than stellar acoustics in the venue) and acting was a delight to watch! 5/5 and highly recommended!

Art can give us inspiration and comfort, sometimes it also can teach us great lessons ... For the audience this means a highly entertaining hour with laughter and very varied and exceptionally well sung music.
