Description

An emotionally raw blend of memoir and song, Tracey Yarad’s All These Pretty Things is a phoenix rising from the ashes story, taking the audience from Australia and the fallout of a devastating divorce following her husband's affair with their teenage goddaughter, to New York City and an inspiring new life. An evocative portrayal of one woman’s capacity to come back stronger than ever, it is an inspirational testament to the human spirit. ‘Beautiful alchemy: breathtakingly honest, gorgeously sung songs on the themes of loss and abandonment, and the restorative power of music and love’ (BroadwayWorld.com).

Incredible show, highlight of my time at Fringe. So raw, and real, Tracey speaks to the audience like an old friend. Beautiful singing and songwriting and incredible storytelling. 5 stars no doubt!

Amazing show! One of the best shows we've seen in 2 days on Frindge. Very beautiful, talented woman, deep, sensitive and loving character!

Come see this show! Tracy takes you on a journey that is brave, bold and humorous. Refreshing to see such an honest and authentic performance.

Brave, considered, eloquent story telling, Tracey's voice is rich and pure, her fingers tumble and dance on the keyboard. She takes the audience on quite a ride!

one of my favourite things is hanging out with someone, sharing a cuppa, and going deep to raw authenticity in conversation. This is just that, except on a stage in front of crowd (BYOCuppa haha). Genuine and poetically told, this memoir shares the lowest of the lows, and yet there is hope in the rebuild. So talented, kind and honest. Tracey asks if she is crazy for retelling her story, and I would have to say she is brave, as I can only imagine how much she relives the moments each performance. There is healing in stories through the connection they create. Thank you!

An absolute must see performance by Tracey Yarad! The music, piano performance, and Tracey's voice are extraordinary artistry and nothing short of a masterpiece. These elements all come together through the absolutely captivating story telling and paint a canvas of human emotions as they can only be portrayed from personal experience. Love, sorrow, and new beginnings make Tracey's performance deeply relatable and an unforgettable experience.

As a follow Antipodean but now an Edinburgh local this performance was refreshing and what the Fringe is about at its core; talent, storytelling, and a unique approach. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love Tracey’s voice, in both her stellar singing and her manner of taking you on her journey of love, devastation, and renewal. There are so many ways to be heartbroken; this story is an unusual one and her warmth, humor, sincerity and beautiful songwriting takes us all safely on this journey… and inspires us (me for sure!) to find strength in our vulnerability, and to draw upon our resilience as we emerge into a new day, a new way.
Thank you for your beautiful songs - they are truly the pretty things.

Must must must watch. Fantastic story telling. So much so you can visualise what she is saying as if it's a movie. Hidden gem in the middle of the fringe. Everyone needs to know about this. Be warned, very sad but with bright, optimistic ending.

A stunning and moving expose of vulnerability and a story that most can relate to. A beautiful mix of light and shade, we are there, with Tracey at every step of the relationship, deep in the story-telling and the music. Highly recommend

Tracey makes us laugh and she makes us cry. She takes us from the beautiful, romantic beginning of her relationship through to today with all the ups and downs. She tells her story in her lovely voice while she accompanies herself expertly. The feelings that are explored are deep and honest and relatable. I saw the show in New York with my cousin who said there isn’t a woman alive who can’t related to Tracey’s story. It’s a terrific show!

Tracey Yarad’s creative share of her personal journey is going to open your human heart widely like a Björk’s ‘Black lake’ and heal it at the same time with humor and strength. Intensely moving, humble and a beautiful celebration of the feminine energy, her one-woman show is as elegant and deep as the woman herself. If you haven’t seen it yet, run and if you have, go back!

Tracey Yarad delivers an unforgettable performance in her one-woman show, captivating the audience with her pure, enchanting voice and masterful piano skills. Her storytelling is nothing short of extraordinary, weaving together a tapestry of emotions that takes you on a profound journey. The depth and sincerity of her performance resonate deeply, making this show an experience not to be missed. I was utterly moved by her artistry, and I hope you find it as remarkable as I did.

Tracey Yarad gives us a masterclass in courage and vulnerability in her astounding show All These Pretty Things. Stunning vocals, deeply personal songwriting and an experience to show us there is always magic possible on the other side of trauma. Highly recommend - run don’t walk.

A beautiful story told with such clarity in the form of original songs by Tracey. She has a truly wonderful voice, but it is the way in which she tells her story that makes the show a must-see. 5/5. Highly recommend.
