Description
Thanks to All Eyes and Ears, you will learn everything about the mysterious and powerful relationship between music and cinema. Performing live on a wide variety of musical instruments, both traditional and bizarre, two actor-musicians demonstrate how music creates mood, tension and atmosphere as they accompany and appear in custom-made films. Perceptions of scenarios – romantic situations, pursuits, manga and musical comedy – are altered by varying musical arrangements. Audiences will come away from this playful, gently humorous show, not only amused and entertained, but with a new perspective on the power of music. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Favourite show of the fringe. So clever, so funny, so well put together. I challenge anyone to leave this show without a smile on their face.

It would be a big loss to miss this show, such talented musicians! My favourite show of the festival!

This is an amazing show, so inventive, so clever, so funny. I especially loved the live foley-artist work, the music that came from bins balloons and brooms, the way that a different musical score completely changed the same film sequence when we see it a second time. This is cinema and sound deconstructed and replayed like a juggling act. Superb

We saw this show a first time in Avignon’s Festival (France) last year and saw it again yesterday. It’s a fantastic show on music and cinema with a lot of scenic, visual and musical ideas throughout the show where we have the great pleasure to visit various cinematographic universes (Coppola, Demy, Leone, Truffaut…) and their composers (Nino Rota, Michel Legrand, Ennio Morricone, Georges Delerue and Serge Rezvani…) and to discover the poetic imaginary of Christine François, Jean-François Hoël and Hervé Mabille.

This is my favourite show at the Fringe this year so far! It’s funny, clever, creative, beautiful and heartwarming! The performers are quite the duo, both talented and fun. It’s very entertaining and it’s also educational. You’ll learn a lot about the relation in between music and cinema while having a great time! I highly recommend!

This is a funny, smart, joyful show and a must see for anyone who loves the cinema. It tells the story of two quite special musicians through film, music, and comedy, and is both zany and completely brilliant! It’s original and imaginative and I’ve not quite seen anything else like it! I loved it. Catch it if you can!!!

Super bon! Endlessly creative and entertaining. Range of instruments and use vast - sonata for garden hose not to be missed. Explores the music/film interface to the full, and all with great wit.

An amazing show ! Two marvellous musiciens, very creative, lot of fun, a sip of poetry, and a huge bunch of "cinéma" references ! I strongly recommend.
