Once again Steve takes a quasi-niche topic and enlightens the audience (even the non believers and initiated) with his knowledge, his backstories and his humour. A marvellous tour of the genre and a crescendo ending to make you leave the venue punching the air with delight ***** (5 stars)

Loved the show, very funny. A highly amusing summary of hair metal. Steve had me wishing I still had my old denim jacket. Highly recommend!

I saw this today and it was outstanding. Probably my pick of the fringe so far I've seen Mclean before and I love his delivery - quick tempo changes and multiple styles, slightly shambolic with a hint of chaos.
The show doesn't really require an expert knowledge of the subject to enjoy as he gives every story a deep cut back ground and allows the audience to follow him. It's his personal journey and love affair with the genre and it covers most of the big hitters (although actual ZZ Top material seems sparse!)
If you love the music or even just have a passing interest in the decade then I think you'll enjoy the show.

Loved the show! Steve made sure it was entertaining even if you only had a passing knowledge of hair metal. Shame about the Metallica slander but you can't win em all
