Description

'Should I hand in my notice?' A question that resonates with every teacher, and Rachel is no exception. As a new trust takes over the school, bringing with it a slew of initiatives, quality assurance measures, and supposedly "workload-friendly" schemes, one thing remains constant: the perennially empty stationary cupboard. Join Rachel and her colleagues as they navigate the absurdities of bureaucracy, juggle newfound responsibilities, and grapple with the everyday chaos of teaching life. The Academy Trust is a comedic rollercoaster, blending sketch-show wit with political satire, all written and performed by teachers.

As a retired "Ass" Head I enjoyed this production presented by an entertaining cast. Lots of laughs but, also, it felt very close to home and brought back some memories which were, possibly, best forgotten as teaching can be so satisfying and uplifting and worthwhile.
Well done and.good luck with your new term!

The cast of three done really well playing the multiple roles. This was a very clever and amusing way to highlight the difficulties teachers face on a daily basis. I really enjoyed it and thought many of the issues could easily be related to lots of workplaces and organisations.

After previously seeing a production by Mode Theatre at Buxton Fringe Festival, I was eager to see their new show 'The Academy Trust Under New Management' and I was not disappointed. It exceeded all expectations and had me laughing from start to finish. Whether you're in the teaching sector or not, you will surely be entertained! 5*!

The Academy Trust: Under New Management! This show brings a hilarious 50 minutes of what life is like in a fictional school part of a trust, hilariously exaggerated albeit very familiar to real life for many educators in the audience, expressed by the constant flow of laugh out loud moments. Go see this show by all means, if you've never set foot back in a school since you left, or you're an educator/ ex educator you will surely love it. Well acted and presented by a charismatic trio who are passionate about their work both on and off stage. 5*!
