Meg powerfully told her story of pain and embarrassment while skilfully incorporating humour and pink glitter. She gave an insight into the health conditions she experienced and challenged the status quo.

The evening I came to watch proved to be a difficult one for the Actor, Meg. Firstly, having to deal with a crowd to which I have never experienced sorts like it. And secondly, having to deal with an audience member having a medical issue mid show. But this didn’t stop Meg from staying on top of it. Truly professional and the stage craft was admirable. The performance itself in one word was: educational. This has a space for the younger generation particularly in its delivery and point of view.

A really strong concept delivered with enthusiasm, a gorgeous set and an inviting protagonist. The show I watched had a challenging audience with lots of curve balls being thrown in Meg’s way but she handled everything like a true professional and kept the audience on her side.

ABRASION
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The most relatable bit of theatre I have EVER seen. I’m feeling all the emotions after watching that. Thank you for raising awareness for endometriosis and all the symptoms along the way. If you get the chance- DO NOT MISS THIS.

A funny play about a very important topic!

A hard hitting and informative comedy. Meg’s use of text is strong and crisp whilst maintaining a conversational tone with her audience. Her quick quips and presence makes this show seem succinct, tight and very funny. A brilliant tone to convey a very important message.

Meg takes us all on her roller-coaster medical journey and we are willing participants in the drama which is in turns funny and hard-hitting. No awkwardness as Meg changes tone for this is her lived experience. It was a pacy, colourful production - glittery props, an abundance of pink, a soundscape including recorded anecdote, and an actress who can really move. The show was slickly directed and choreographed and there was no fourth wall. I felt like I was one of her friends, offering a listening ear for the sad bits and confetti for the happy bits. 50% urgent message, 50% pure fun.
Go see!

This story is wonderfully told, and I was entranced for the duration of the show. Dixon sets the vibe so well and interacts delightfully with the audience, managing to hilariously retell the story of her life with her chronic condition. Definitely recommend!

a beautifully honest and hilarious depiction of life with endometriosis. from the get go I felt completely immersed in a community of women all going through the same thing, and felt genuinely moved watching what felt like a complete depiction of every experience I’ve been through in the years awaiting diagnosis.
with laugh out loud moments and moving elements of verbatim, there is no doubt this piece would be enjoyed by both men and women alike! a must see fringe show for anyone wondering what’s its like to be looked dead in the eye and told that ‘periods do just hurt’ - don’t take no for an answer !!!

This was a brilliant show! Very funny but also serious and emotional at times. A great mix of everything and highlights the issues that so many women face. Well done!!

Superb combination of humour and raw honesty to educate the audience about Meg’s journey and the horrendous impact of this condition.

Ladies, be prepared to cross your legs!
