Description

When you were younger you'd look at adults and think they had it all figured out. Now we're adults we realise none of us have a clue what we're doing. Wandering around pretending, trying to blend in and hoping nobody notices. Following a sold-out run in 2023, Aaron Wood is back and finally has it all figured out. Honest(!). Described as talent way beyond his time on the circuit and host of the Off Ya Chest podcast with over 100 million views online. 'A very big future in this business!' (Tom Stade). 'Absolutely brilliant' (Tim Vine).

Aaron is such a funny guy! This show is great, and he is a really likeable comedian too. I feel fully invested in him getting out of Oldham now! This show is full of laughs throughout and they had to add more chairs into the room to make space for everyone, which says it all! Go see this show!

10/10 Absolutely incredible show!! This was the funniest show we have seen at Fringe. Aaron has a great stage presence, story telling ability and amazing crowdwork. GO to this show - I promise you will not regret it!! We were rolling over laughing the entire time and he really engages the audience - highly highly highly recommend!! Sadly I’m leaving today but I loved it so much I’d go again it’s a no brainer

We saw 16 shows in 3 days and this was one of the best. Aaron is very quick-witted and engaging and dealt masterfully, and hilariously, with a group of drunk hecklers. Great stories and a warm personality make for a memorable and very funny set. See him before he's famous!

"I saw Aaron Wood at the 2024 Edinburgh fringe in a tiny hotel room for £7" - Possibly, you in a few years sounding all smug and Edinburgh Fringe-y.

As an Edinburgh local who has seen the very best and worst of the fringe over the years, this was truly up there with the best. We ended up at his show only because the show we'd been queuing for was sold out, and there were no seats at the bar, yet my 3 friends and I all agreed that this was our favourite show of the day (including show's we'd paid upwards of £25 for...)

Aaron somehow generated live-at-the-apollo energy in what was, essentially, a glorified broom cupboard at 4 in the afternoon. He brought the (generally quite unsympathetic) crowd onside in about 15 seconds flat and I viscerally felt the room relax as everyone realised that we were in safe hands. The jokes themselves were brilliant and covered a wide range of themes, from life on a council estate, the frailty of pet hamsters, health scares, and autism. Combined with the impeccable crowd work sprinkled in throughout, it's not hard to imagine his career taking off massively in the next few years. He's definitely found new fans in me and the friends that I was with.

I can’t wait to see what Aaron does in the future; he is definitely an up-and-coming comedian to watch out for.
