We took our 11 year old son and we all enjoyed the show. I thought it was nice that he had the underlying script that we can do and be anything if we keep believing in ourselves. All money is also donated to a charity to support mental health. Although the magic tricks may not be the most advanced we still found it entertaining.

TBH the show needs to be fine tuned, a few teething problems with the sound and the hall where it is performed is far too big, a smaller more intimate venue would help. The children who were in the audience seemed to love the set up and were more than happy to participate on stage so definitely one for younger visitors to the Fringe.

While it is difficult to strike a balance between putting on a performance that children might enjoy, and one that can hold the attention of the parents and adults in the audience, unfortunately this show did neither. Featuring embarrassingly weak magic tricks and even weaker jokes, Mr. Rooks would be unlikely to survive long as court jester to the Queen of Hearts. This is 45 minutes of your life you will never get back. Take a walk instead.

This is an excellent show, very clever, well written and performed. All the actors are great but Alice the stand out favourite.
A must see show this Edinburgh Fringe 2024.
