Description

Winner of Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences with effortless wit and humour. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience. Six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious, touching stories from their lives, the tweens spell their way through, hoping to never hear the soul-crushing ding that signals a mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller wins!

Fabulous, laugh out loud funny, show. Performed by a very talented young cast.

A very good show by a talented young cast. It's a shame this show is only on for a few days. An energetic performance provides good (live) music, great acting and some lively (at times dangerous!) audience participation. Many of these performers have a rather bright future.
