Description

Follow a quirky group of pre-teens as they compete to win a regional spelling bee while also trying to navigate adolescence. They are overcoming family dynamics, trying to relate with each other, and most of all, trying to get the words right! A former Bee champion is running the show, and she and a “comfort counsellor” (a parolee doing community service) do their best to guide the spellers and console the losers. Hilarious and sweet; winner of two Tony awards. Produced by the award-winning high school conservatory at The Harker School from California.
