Description

Sammy and Clyde are on their first date. It’s cute. It’s awkward. It’s bad jokes and forced laughter. Sweaty hands and wondering who gets the next round. It’s 'I really want to kiss her' and 'I hope he doesn’t try to kiss me'. It’s excruciating, but that’s a first date, right? As Sammy and Clyde get to know each other again, and again, their reality slowly falls to pieces. Missed jokes become hilarious one-liners. Awkward silences become witty repartee. The customers become an audience. Everyone starts watching – and Sammy and Clyde? They become disposable.

100% worth going to! Fabulously written and performed.

This show punches way above its weight!

The brilliant cast of 3 had me hooting with ironic laughter and writhing in empathy for the existential crisis that is brought about by online dating apps and personified in the hopeful first date characters of Sammy and Clyde. These poor souls are manipulated mercilessly by the Producer – brought to life by the sparkling talent of actor Josh Hogan. His unrelenting and emotionally brutal performance is spell-binding and he descends Sammy and Clyde into a dark, hopeless place that anyone who has used dating apps will recognise!

Insightful writing, exceptional acting.

Don't miss this one!

An excellent piece of writing performed by an equally excellent cast. The show travels from delightfully awkward moments to beautifully tender honesty. I definitely recommend it!!

Absolutely brilliant show. The writing is absolutely incredible and kept me gripped the whole time. The acting is some of the best I’ve seen. Really excited to see the future of this theatre company.

A clever, well acted and executed piece of theatre which explores the vulnerability of dating life and reality dating shows. Definitely worth a watch. 4 stars.

A play that had me on the edge of the seat throughout. A heart-gripping deconstruction of dating in modern days.

This was a captivating watch from beginning to end! Incredibly slick with a brilliant cast and a gripping premise - I left FEELING and have been thinking about it ever since

Go and see this show!! 3 incredible actors display the intricacies and hilarities of dating, with a simple set you’re locked in on the action and you just can’t look away the awkward/ funny/ endearing interactions. Now combine all this is the intensity and falsehoods that come with being involved in a dating reality tv show… and wow you’ve got a compelling piece of theatre. A must see in my opinion.
