The venue is situated on the corner of the Royal Mile and George IV Bridge. The Royal Mile (High Street) is a cobblestoned pedestrian street. The approach from the north, from Prince's Street, is steep over The Mound and the approach from the south, from George IV Bridge, is a more hill gradual.
