Sirens

Pleasance Courtyard

Relaxed performance dates

Suitability: 12+
This show is accessible for d/Deaf and hard of hearing audiences. It has captioning throughout and the actors use both B.S.L. and spoken English. This does mean that our music is going to be loud, but we will provide ear defenders for any audience member who would prefer to wear them. The story is told using lots of visual story-telling, movement and projection. The performance includes a Deaf actor.
You're an immortal demi-goddess whose only job is to sing and look beautiful. No, this isn't a show about Beyoncé. Three Greek sirens find themselves washed-up on Hastings beach. It's 2018, and sitting around naked on rocks is no longer en vogue. But the sirens are still cursed: any man who hears their voice dies instantly. It's a bit of a drag. Award-winning Zoo Co returns to stick two fingers up at gender expectations with their trademark visual storytelling, stunning projections and electro-folk soundtrack. Sirens is creatively captioned and BSL inclusive.

If you have any additional access requirements, or you'd like to ask a question, please get in touch with the company directly on florence@wearezooco.co.uk.
