Description

The year is 2017. Average graduate debt has hit £50,000, Kylie Minogue is making a comeback and Will Jackson has accidentally stolen 300 second class stamps from the post office. But he's making them count. He's going to write letters. From reconnecting with old friends and ex-boyfriends to run-ins with the marketing department at John Lewis, stamp collecting has never looked so sexy... Based on real life correspondences; storytelling and lipsync cabaret collide in this queer coming-of-age comedy about the complications of 21st-century communication. Previous praise: ***** (Birmingham Post). ***** (ImpactNottingham.com). ***** (BurnFM.com). **** (VoiceMag.uk).

A really enjoyable piece. What begins as light, fun and high concept slowly draws you in and becomes quite touching. Definitely worth a look.

I highly, highly recommend this! - it is brilliant, clever, hilarious, energetic and the audience were fully engaged and kept utterly captivated from start to finish. Well done for a superb performance.

A highly entertaining show.

Didn’t quite know what to expect but smiled and laughed from start to finish.

Very clever, engaged with the audience and kept you captivated and amused throughout.

Highly recommended.

Dear Sam,

It was by random chance that Lynne and I found ourselves with tickets for your brilliant one person show.

In the first few minutes of the show we were quietly smiling with the satisfaction that fate had served up what would be an hour of absolute joy.

We do however have one complaint! The outrageous abuse of chocolate buttons was both shocking and mean. Were it not for you captivating performance and endless charm I would have launched a full scale button rescue.

Yours, in awe
G.

Miro Magazine (3/5 stars) 113 days ago

Yours Sincerely plays out like a sweet, young adult rom-com, a To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before style production where Will Jackson writes letters to people, and in so doing discovers his passion and cements his identity.

The Wee Review (3/5 stars) 116 days ago

As the title suggests, Yours Sincerely is a play about letter-writing – exactly what protagonist Will is doing at a desk as the audience enters the Front Room venue at Assembly Rooms. As the character soon tells us, he has ‘accidentally’ stolen 300 second-class stamps, and now intends to put...

The Skinny (4/5 stars) 124 days ago

What would you do if you found yourself accidentally in possession of 300 second class stamps? In the 21st century, when nobody really writes letters, you’d probably just have to keep them in stock or send more Christmas cards than usual. Not Will Jackson. He decides to have a bit of...

The Feminist Fringe (5/5 stars) 126 days ago

This performance is one of the funniest, most energetic, uniquely enriching experiences of the Fringe. I really can’t recommend this highly enough on a personal level and from the point of view as a reviewer. This is a thoroughly well constructed piece that is crammed from start to finish with belly laughs and brilliance.

Broadway Baby (5/5 stars) 130 days ago

Will Jackson is in a bit of a pickle. Having stolen 300 second class stamps from the post office, Jackson has decided, rather than to return them once realising his mistake, to commence work on a little project. He is going to write some letters. Letters to current friends, past...

Fest (3/5 stars) 131 days ago

In 2017, Will Jackson accidentally walked away from the Post Office with 300 second class stamps he hadn’t paid for. Recently graduated and not quite sure of his next steps he began a series of correspondences, with everyone from a childhood crush to his manager at work, and the John...
