Swallow finds a man hiding in the barn, when she asks who he is his words are 'Jesus Christ'. Her prayers have been answered and she is determined to protect him. Whistle Down the Wind by Webber and Steinman, based on the novel by Mary Hayley Bell and the film by Richard Attenborough, follows the fortunes of a fugitive caught between the prejudice of adults and the innocence of the young.
