Rachel and Peter are 17; they’ve been together for six months. It’s their first taste of love. Something happens to Rachel, and the only person who can make it better is Peter. But can Peter fulfill this ask? Jack Thorne’s When You Cure Me is a merciless, compelling and painful portrayal of how far you’ll go for someone when serious illness asks more from first love than many well-affirmed marriages. It’s a play about personal recovery, but also allowing those around you to recover too.
