Description
Once upon a time, she walked the length of Aotearoa New Zealand. To scream at the ocean, to sing at the trees, to curse the effing supplejack vine. She walked to process grief, to know alone, to remember home. While she walked, she sang. In an intimate performance of story and songs for wandering feet, Moon's retelling of walking Te Araroa hiking trail, celebrates the power of voice, body, and being shit scared but doing it anyway. Moon’s unique and raw performance style engages audiences to embrace story, in sometimes uncomfortably intimate, sometimes darkly explosive performances. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. This piece was just beautiful.
Milly has the most wonderful singing voice and is an incredible storyteller. She was so open, honest, gentle, raw and humble. Her experiences as a walker resonated with me so much and it was just magical to be in the room with her where she made the effort to connect with every single audience member.
I felt so at peace watching this show and will remember it for a long time.

Serendipity led me to see this performance, and I wasn't sure quite what to expect.
However, from the moment she started singing, all concerns disappeared!
She has a wonderful singing voice, and the songs she had written gave her story a wonderful atmosphere and warmth.
Milly's story of her journey was funny, wise, heart-breaking, and inspiring. She skilfully conveyed the emotions she felt, and the discovery’s she made about life, and herself. It is honest and full of courage; one which I am sure the audience will carry in their hearts long after the show had ended.
This is a very special show which I think deserves to be seen by as many people as possible, so see it if you can.
Thank you, serendipity. Thank you, Milly!
