Description
A filthy comedy delving into memory, identity and the human condition in an afterlife purgatory. Johnson, haunted by vivid trauma and existential ponderings, confronts life's fleeting nature and the indifferent cosmos. As he grapples with the absurdity of existence and the torment of his memories, the play blends dark humour with deep questions. It challenges audiences to find meaning in life's chaos and absurdities, exploring themes of cosmic insignificance and eternal torment through a lens of irreverent comedy. It's been cancelled three times in the US for its controversial themes and graphic language. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. A one-man play perfectly mastered — every detail is thought through, and this was like walking into a fever dream that you're not sure you can walk out of as it slowly turns into a nightmare. Great writing, great acting (although I personally did not like the mask, as it felt hard to hear the words or feel truly connected to the character, but I understand and respect the artistic choice here) and mostly, great directing.
