Description

After a seven-year hiatus from the Fringe, Trygve Wakenshaw returns with his new hilarious mime-clown-comedy show. Light and silly, absurd and Dada, and a sort of autobiographical, introspective look at all the silly little things that can make or break a friendship. Having been nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2015, and selling out with Trygve Versus A Baby in 2017, award-winning, internationally-recognised mime-clown Trygve Wakenshaw won’t be lonely as he brings his new show to the Fringe for its world premiere.

5 STARS - Simply incredible mime and clowning. The level of commitment by audience members to the participation sections is testament to how Trygvy had the whole audience 100% enthralled. A must see!

It was my first time seeing a live mime show, which blew my mind. Watching the skilfulness and capability of his body control was amazing, and the design of the entire story which connected and explained every individual scene but revealed only at the end was truly smart. Such a funny, unique and beautiful performance. One of the best shows.

Trygve returns! I didn't think he could top his last show, but wowza! An absolute master of his craft and the perfect amount of playful/whimsical. This was certainly a highlight of our fringe.

Such a wonder! Trygve is such a creative and unique performer. I was blown away by what he is able to create with just his body and vocalizations. Don’t miss this.

I can't particularly say that mime is a type of comedy I usually go for - nor did I appreciate that it was a type of comedy that has an audience and sufficient comics to practise it. How wrong I was. Trygve is a master of his craft, guiding you into his world using only his hands and his voice, which is nothing short of hilarious throughout. You would be a fool to miss this show.

How in the world was I laughing so hard at things I couldn't see?!? This show is amazing & dynamic with great storytelling, an evolving narrative, twists & turns, delightful callbacks, and impressive magic!

We all absolutely loved this show. It was absolutely hilarious but also very moving. Trygve is a master clown, physical comedian and storyteller. And I’ve never seen a magic show as skilled as this one! It was our favourite show and I’m not biased because I’m from NZ, I promise! Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning. This one man show was the highlight of our first day. He makes you laugh, but then works in some very real emotions of nostalgia, sadness, love, pain, death, etc. Trygve presents a show that is never boring, always entertaining, and leaves me constantly clamoring for more. The only sad part was that it had to end. What an amazing show.

Also, my 8 and 10 year old children were incredibly entertained. Take your kids. They need to see this medium of performance!!!

This is not a show you can remain aloof from, and it continues to reveal itself well after the performance. Sublime.
