Trips and Falls follows two sisters on a mission to scatter their grandmother’s ashes in the perfect place. They steal the urn, take their mother’s car and head across the border for Scotland in miniature: the Isle of Arran! Hot on their tail though are Mum and Dad. Oh, and the local police officer with her work experience boy. Will the race to Arran restore some harmony or will it end in chaos? At this point, it’s anyone’s guess.

Heart warming story of a family in transition setting things right. Lively characters and you root for them all. Happy to make this my first ever Fringe show.

This is a lovely Scottish road trip comedy for the whole family! The cast acts really well and it is brilliant to see the work of these students who have put all their heart and energy into creating this show! I have had the privilege to watch Trips and Falls twice, and every time it sadly finishes, I leave the room with a smile on my lips! So go and see it and support this team of young creators and actors!

Trips and Falls is an enjoyable road trip comedy which is instigated when two teenagers decide to liberate their Grandmothers Ashes from the Mantelpiece in order to scatter them in Scotland. The ensemble cast play well of each other in this light hearted romp as first the parents then the Police set of in hot pursuit. Featuring many talented performances this play takes a moment to ask how people move on; from grief and teenage angst on a fulfilling journey towards acceptance and maturity. Fun for all ages, not one to miss!
