Description

Travellers! Come along the journey of your life to the land of holiday wishes, dreams... and nightmare scenarios! It's not the destination, but the journey. Our three loveable tourist must endure, as their unique dream vacation turns into a chaotic battle ground over the claim of beautiful uninhabited landscapes, swimming pools and roasted pigs or croissants and cortados at a sidewalk cafe in Nice. An action-packed, physical comedy about life as a tourist and how encountering others can bring both the best and the worst out in us. Maybe we do not have to travel far to come far?

★★★☆☆ Enjoyable, despite the flaws

THE GOOD
* Interactive Entrance. Audience was on cue with the theme of the show.
* Speechless Mastery. Performers captivated with pure physical expression, not a word needed.
* Whimsical Sketches. Creativity that tickled my funny bone.

THE NOT SO GOOD
* Cut it in half. Good ideas stretched to the brink.
* Muddled Meaning. The show’s message got lost somewhere along the way.

If I had to pick one show for Fringe 2023, it would be this one! Don Gnu's Tourist is a wonderful mix of physical theatre, dance and comedy. I highly recommend this.

I have seen Don Gnu before in another performance and it was a must to see them again. Their stories are always brilliant. This show included both hilarious and tragic moments. Some interactivity, too. I just love these guys!
