Description

A comic look at the agony of adoption. One woman’s heartbreaking and hilarious journey to acquire a tiny little baby – by any means necessary – is dotted with soul-crushing tragedy and bursting with an animated cast of characters. Phoebe Potts finds herself surprised, disgusted and ultimately resigned to her role as a middle-class white lady in the business of adopting babies in the US and internationally. Coming from sold-out performances in Boston and rave reviews from US Critics, Too Fat for China arrives at the Edinburgh Fringe.

This is a great show - funny, warm and incredibly honest. Honest about herself, her American culture and racism. Really recommend it -she deserves a full audience every night

Fantastic show! In her one woman show Phoebe keeps her audience gripped and amused as she reveals the highs and lows of her search for what she wanted "a little tiny baby" *****
