Description

Let the beaky boy from Friday Night Dinner (Channel 4) and Plebs (ITV2) tell you the story of how he spent his life trying to avenge the theft of his foreskin. Previous winner of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year and nominated for Best Breakthrough Artist at the British Comedy Awards. 'High energy, impressive and precociously smart' (Guardian). 'Like a young Mark Watson, he packs in a very high degree of laughs per minute' (List). 'I don't know whether you want to sell it as a whole show about your circumcision' (Tim Key).

The very best stand-up comedy comes from a comedian that’s speaking on a subject they have personal experience of. So, for Tom Rosenthal his own circumcision and his anger about it being forced upon him at a very young age makes his new show, Manhood, a very personal, but totally riotous hour of comedy.

Manhood is a solid, well-rehearsed show and which brings to light an issue not often discussed. If you enjoy Rosenthal’s other work and are on board with anatomical humour as well as meaningful discussion about human rights and trauma, then this show should feature highly on your Fringe to-do list.
