Description

I HATE NEW YORK is a gay-tastic solo debut from self-professed rage-a-holic, Tom DeTrinis, that offers up a non-stop, hilarious litany of grievances. DeTrinis unmasks his singular views on everything from NYC to his huge family to cheese and finally, to himself. DeTrinis is angry and he wants you to know who, what, where, when and why! 'DeTrinis is a gifted, fearless, bawdy raconteur in the choleric model' (LA Times). 'In his raw, self-diagnosing fury, he has found a way to craft a version of the tale that makes for delicious unique theatre' (FrontMezzJunkies.com).

Detrinis is a likeable comic. His story is interesting and will be something a lot of the audience will relate to.

Tom is an impressive comic storyteller, engaging as he puts a strong comic and refreshingly queer spin on his many grievances with impressive characterisation and a well-pitched sentimentality.

Playing at the Assembly Rooms Powder Room, no matter where you hail from or how are you identify, everyone should see this show. Tom DeTrinis: I Hate New York is raging, raucous, rambunctious and riveting. Told you it was R rated.
