Description

Following the popularity of Greenyonder Tours’ sell-out tour Hidden Gardens of the Royal Mile, this walking tour celebrates the work of Patrick Geddes, the early Scots environmentalist who coined the phrase 'think global, act local'. Walk in Old Town closes, learn about Geddes's groundbreaking ideas about city regeneration, rediscover Geddes gardens created over a century ago in the Old Town slums and enjoy modern community gardening projects. The tour lasts 1 hour 45 minutes and involves mainly pavement walking, with unavoidable steps and some rough surfaces. We finish in the Grassmarket.
