Description
Blending collected sounds of nature with harp, voice, piano and French horn, Aurora Engine presents a series of environmentally inspired electroacoustic compositions. Expect pitch-shifting blackbirds, rhythmic honey bees, sonic trees and ocean soundscapes amongst beautiful, beguiling songs. Commissioned by Sound Festival (2022), this sonic exploration of Scottish landscape invites audiences to submit voice and nature recordings in advance which will be then weaved into the performance. Fusing real instruments, voice and progressive electronica, Aurora Engine's work encapsulates a singular and striking auditory world. This show was both grounding and uplifting. Through the blending of field recordings, her own voice and musicianship and really immersive visuals, Aurora Engine created a show that was refreshing, gently provocative and a really wonderful way to spend an hour. This is an artist I'm looking forward to hearing more from as her album comes out and hopefully the experiments in sonic landscape continue. I loved it.

Aurora blends recorded natural sounds with voice and instruments played live together in a tastefully delicate blend of rhythms and soundscapes.
Matched with visuals, this show is simply, a treat.
Do yourself a favour and book a seat.

Went to see Terre on the first night and was blown away! It was amazing to see how all of the electronic tools can be used to make such a great sound. Aurora Engine has gone to great lengths to listen to and record the environment around us from different parts of Edinburgh and further afield in Scotland. Well worth going to see!

Wonderful show. Totally opened up my mind and had me drifting around the Water Of Leith, Edinburgh and there rest of the natural world. Very meditative. Go along, it's beautiful and it's good for for you!
