Description

Symphonic music usually needs over 100 players to realise. Alafia Ensemble manages it with just six. Experience the orchestra in miniature with strings, woodwinds, the more unusual piano, and even less usual mandolin. Alafia Ensemble is made up of six musicians from different musical backgrounds who met during their studies at the Cologne Academy of Music and Dance (Germany). The members of the ensemble are: Venezuelan flutist, pianist and arranger Leonardo Pedroza Cabrera, Cypriot clarinetist Nikola Janjic, Russian pianist and composer Olga Riazantceva-Schwarz, German/Palestinian violist Marina Eichberg, German/Portuguese cellist Paulo Francke Negreiros and Scottish mandolinist Iain Lennon.
