Description

Living day-to-day, not knowing if tomorrow will come, Simone Hamilton is overcoming the odds. Rising star singer and influencer, her followers have witnessed it all. But how can they be sure it's true? A Suffocating Choking Feeling is a subversive interrogation of truth, inspired by Australian wellness influencer and cancer "survivor" Belle Gibson (featured on BBC's Bad Influencer). Using social media experiments and live digital performance, Simone explores influencer culture and our dangerous obsession with crafting "authentic" versions of ourselves online. 'A notorious collision between social media and the truth' *** (Age).
