Description

Not a show, but the undercoat, base coat or petticoat of what may one day be a show. Stu ties his hair back like Moana and gets to it. Open-hearted, honest and guaranteed potentially funny. As seen on As Yet Untitled (Dave) and Russell Howard's Stand Up Central (Comedy Central). ***** (Independent). 'Truly a comedy masterclass... Endlessly inventive' **** (List). 'Yet further evidence of Goldsmith's enormous talent and indisputable mastery of the genre' **** (TheWeeReview.com). 'Makes it look easy' **** (Chortle.co.uk). 'Goldsmith knocks it out of the park' (Times).

You may have seen the (WIP) by the name but don’t let that discourage you. Hilarious from start to finish. Go see it!

‪While the easy thing to do would be to describe Stuart Goldsmith’s show, ‘Primer’ as “brave”, the more important thing to say that he is just flipping funny & gets better every year. See this show, then see it again.‬

Having seen Stuart constantly for the past four years, I find it both exciting and interesting to say this is his best show yet, work in progress or not.

Stuart had the spark, the style and the flair. Always on the ball with the right jokes and I find it hard to recall a moment when there wasn't a sound of mirth and on many many times the room was full of laughter.

I will always make sure and see Stuart each year, but I must admit he is going to have to do a lot to top this, but then I feel he will somehow find a way.

We are 14 shows into our Fringe and Stu's is our favourite performance; by an Edinburgh Royal Mile! His set is a work in progress and all new material. If you have never seen Stuart Goldsmith I really recommend his comedy, if you have seen him then book this show; it is Stu at his very best.

What a great show! Although billed as a work in progress it's a lot more polished than many shows I've seen.Stu just gets better and better - effortlessly charming and engaging he roams across topics as diverse as fairy doors for trees to throwing children to getting stuck in a time loop. Even when he mangles a story and goes off on a tangent it just makes it funnier. Great show even on day one of the Fringe.
