Description
The 2014 plan was a simple one, I would Casanova myself around our nation's capital looking for consenting heterosexual adult males. One no-frills lover-man for every month. I was the original calendar girl. Helen Mirren plays me in the film. A storytelling show with songs about sex, stigma and cystitis, by someone who has experienced all three. From the multi award-winning team that bought you the 'exquisite' (List) Sexy Lamp, and Bicycles and Fish. 'Arnstein is an incredible performer who seems primed for greatness' (Guardian). 'Plays as good as this are rare' ***** (TheReviewsHub.com).Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. I din't find this interesting, funny, touching or eye opening. A girl consciously decides to have a go at a promiscuous adventure, namely to use men as sexual toys. Then she complains that this has made her feel unsafe instead of making her feel happy and empowered - surprise, surprise! The show is concluded with a strong feministic note implicitly suggesting, I guess, that it wasn't her fault.

Without doubt - my pick of the Fringe 2022.
'Sticky Door' is a powerful, beautifully performed, and hilarious one-woman show expertly crafted and portrayed by Katie Arnstein. Full of empowerment and very astute observations and themes.
This show is important for many different reasons, and should be high on your list of priorities for this summer.

An Outstanding must see performance, funny, insightful, poignant. One of the best things we’ve seen- love the Ukulele interludes
