Steve N Allen: Alzheimer's? I Can't Even Remember How to Spell It

Comedy (stand-up, true-life)

  • Babes in arms policy: Babies do not require a ticket
  • Policy applies to: Children under 2 years

Description

Dementia isn't a laughing matter, but neither is the loss of both your parents during the pandemic and the tricky birth of your first child. And yet, somehow, that's what Steve N Allen has to play with and discusses in this show. Caring for someone with Alzheimer's has its funny moments, which some people feel bad talking about... But it's important to highlight that there are many lighter moments against the darkness.

Great show. Steve is a really smart guy who mixes deep pathos and comedy with a superb delivery to give a memorable show. He deserves a much bigger audience. Thanks Steve.

Great show - very accomplished comedian. Not all about Alzheimers. Definitely recommend.

A good show, with some great jokes. The show was not as centred on Alzheimers as I thought it would be, but instead Alzheimers lurks as an underlying theme throughout as Steve gives us jokes about his marriage, covid and the birth of his recent child. Much enjoyed by the entire audience.

The writing is tight, the delivery spot on and the way of painting images with his words, almost too graphically at times is almost tangible. Steve N Allen is a performer who deserves to be heard.

Overall, a relaxed and assured performance – I got the feeling that despite Allen’s anxieties, he’s going to be just fine
