Description
As seen on BBC's Live at the Apollo, American transplant Spring Day provides dark comedy for nice people. Watch as Spring examines her journey from joining a Christian cult at 13 years old to making her way out and becoming a wiser "woman of the world". Expect outrageous stories and sharp punchlines as Spring explores the nature of cults and the role they play in our everyday lives. Even as a work in progress, the show will be a hell of a lot more fun than any church sermon you've had to sit through. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. The only thing which made this obviously a "work in progress" was the fact Spring read a lot from her computer screen. The delivery of the words however was polished, with the emotion in the right places.
A top performer of dark humour, not gratuitous in any way.

Funny and touching. It's a work in progress, but still a great show, but I do like a dead baby joke, and spicy food.

What a fab show. Spring is warm, thoughtful, very funny, naughty and has a smile that lights up the room - all great ingredients for a show! This was the best of a typical Fringe show. It is work in progress, it’s still raw and I left feeling privileged to have seen the show in its development. I also learned something knew about cornflakes, cults and hell, as well as a few other things! Go see it and support this fantastic comedian that deserves more exposure.

This was my first show at this years Fringe and what a way to start. I was shocked, stunned and downright offended by this woman and I loved it. Spring says that this show is, “a work in progress”, but I think it’s already achieved much of its objective. This really has got to be one of the big hits of the Fringe this year. If you like dark humour, pathos and a bloody good laugh, then this is a must see.
