Description

Soundhouse presents one of Scotland's hottest new folk bands. Kinnaris Quintet is a marriage of five exquisite musicians from diverse musical backgrounds, influences and styles, all distilled into beautifully crafted and powerful arrangements. Presenting new compositions, traditional Scottish and Irish, bluegrass, old-time and classical music, their musical styles form a sound which is uplifting, honest and powerful. The players: Fiona MacAskill (fiddle), Laura Wilkie (fiddle), Aileen (Reid) Gobbi (five-string fiddle), Laura-Beth Salter (mandolin) and Jenn Butterworth (guitar). Between them, they've performed with Shooglenifty, Fiddler’s Bid, Niteworks, The Shee, and Salsa Celtica. To name a few! www.madeinscotlandshowcase.com
