Description
From The Daily Show's Sophie Zucker comes a one-woman musical about love, death, and incest. When Sophie accidentally hooks up with her cousin, she must decide to shun him or seduce him at the next family gathering. Audiences have called the show a modern evolution of the greatest Jewish comediennes, invoking Barbra Streisand, Elaine May, and Gilda Radner. With an original score of all bops, like how radio stations used to play Grease, Sophie Sucks Face is a 'delightful showcase of Sophie's cornucopia of talents, but equally as important, it's very, very funny' (PasteMagazine.com).Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Very funny, catchy songs and a brilliant performer. Not your average love story but really cleverly told and performed. Highly recommend!

Went into the show not fully knowing what it was going to be but loved every minute. she's a world class performer able to twist herself physically and mentally in all directions and keep us with her all the way, A great show !!

Picked up this show on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. So funny and absolutely owned the stage. Came out to the audience and I think was about to ask me an awkward question but saw I was sat with my daughter - haha! Seriously try and see this before it finishes, and there maybe a free gift, maybe! Keep IT up Sophie!

a showstopper of a performance and the songs were so good people were downloading them right after the show.

Funniest show I've seen this year. Sophie's so talented it's insane! Catchy songs, a great costume change, and an underlying sweetness and earnestness. Shout out to Sophie's dad for being a great canvasser.

A natural talent. We saw this show on a whim as we still had time before we had to get back and the description sounded fun. We were so happy that we got to see the show! Outrageously funny and maybe I’m convinced that mild incest is ok (?!). Maybe not, but the songs are catchy well written and funny. Along with the rest of show, a must watch.

Brilliant! Sophie takes you on an emotional rollercoaster through her very well written and hilarious show. Nothing is taboo and off-limits, which leads to a very exciting show which culminates in a poignant, beautiful song to conclude a fantastic performance. Every song hits different, with some being seriously catchy and will replay in my head for days to come. Highly recommend this show!

Fantastic show all round, the first I've seen of Fringe 2023 and a great way to start it! Perfect balance of comedy & musical performance and oddly sucks you in (no pun intended...) emotionally with really well written taboo comedy! Sophie sold out the show I was in, rightfully so, and with 10 ish mins left the venue's fire alarm went off for about 10 mins and wouldn't stop, because of a drunk lady vaping in the building somewhere. The whole audience moved to the venue next door and Sophie took it in her stride, continuing on without missing a beat like nothing had even happened. Absolute pro and well worth going to see this
