I have to admit... I've never played Sonic. I'm sorry, I was always more of a Crash Bandicoot girl. BUT Sooz Kempner may have converted me to the dark side. She is clearly passionate about video games and that passion translated into a fantastic hour of stand up that made me remember everything I loved about my childhood and also gave me "Shine Jesus Shine" on a loop in my head for a week afterwards. Spectacularly performed, Sooz has cemented herself on my list of must see comedians for next year's Fringe.

If you grew up - or were around - in the nineties, this show is definitely worth an hour of your time! I was nowhere near as much into Sonic as Sooz, but you don’t actually need any background knowledge of him or his mates to enjoy the show. This is a really talented comic and performer - go!

Couldn’t help but laugh throughout the hour. I really want to go play Alex Kidd in Miracle World now.

Loved this show! I'm not particularly into gaming, but my teenagers are, and I found myself laughing raucously. It's such a joyful celebration of geekiness and Sooz's brilliant writing means it's accessible for all of us.
It's not about the video games, not really. It's about growing up and finding your tribe and understanding yourself. All three of your selves.

Amazing show by an outstanding comedian. Sooz's take on the 90's is nothing short of brilliant.

This show is not just for gamers. My wife who is not a gamer also found the show as funny as I did.

Sooz deserves to be on TV

As someone from the 90s generation I couldn't help but enjoy Sooz's show. Growing up as a nerd in that time meant every joke landed head on. Sooz has a great way with getting in touch with the audience and keeping the fun going.

As much as I don't agree that Sonic is the best platformer (sorry), but I would recommend if you are a 90s kit, a nerd or a child of the Mega Drive era (or still think they are the greatest console) then head along and enjoy the show!

Sooz Kempner's Mega Drive is a must see show! Not just for computer game fans, her witty view on growing up and her interactions with her good and bad sides are excellently played, comic storytelling at it's best!

A laugh-out-loud funny show. Inventive, surprising, joyous - I defy anyone to not leave this inspired story beaming ear-to-ear. Fantastic

An hour about Sonic, Skyping and accepting the clean and mean parts of your personality. Includes a fantastic routine about school hymns along with an amazing impression of Christina Aguilera covered in sick. Great way to start a day of Fringe shows.

Sonic might not be the best video game character in the world but moving around at the speed of sound, he has touched many hearts and none more so than Sooz Kempner who brings her love for the mascot, Sega and growing up in the 90s to the forefront in...

Mega Drive is a comedy show that centres around the games that Sooz Kempner played while growing up in the 90's and how they have affected her ambition today. Mega Drive makes excellent use of multimedia as a projector plays video clips from old Sega games (some of which have...
