With a plethora of time on their hands and nowhere to go the gossip takes over, truths are revealed, stories are told and arguments are had as they face their biggest change yet: leaving school. The best thing in tartan since Scottish Plain!

This show, wow. I mean, even before seeing the show this whole ensemble is something to be awed at. Fresh graduates from the RCS junior programme, they go straight out and run their very first Fringe show together radiating confidence. They came together to harness their collective talents and deliver an engaging production I hadn't experienced at the Fringe before.

But then the show itself, amazing. A rollercoaster of comedy, depth and emotion, outstanding. From a young writer with great promise, this whole cast brought their A game together as an ambitious fledgling production, to deliver an outstanding visualisation of a compelling and relatable narrative. I just keep thinking I can't wait to see 'Episode 2'. Every scene, act and character, portrayed with absolute heart and sincerity.

The full cast, tech and production included, have great promise. Outstanding talent and they're in this game to win, no doubt. If you ever get a chance to see any one of these amazing people perform, commit, you won't be dissapointed in the slightest!

Scottish productions, UK cinema, Hollywood.... take note!

It is rare to come across new writing so confident or assured as ‘Something Educational’ was, whether in character execution or theme. The build up and pay off of jokes was a highlight (the wattpad physics teacher fan fiction and the compliment circle were a highlight!). The play explored the themes of a time of change in life really well. Whether that was the transition you face on the cusp of adulthood, if you can really choose your friends in school and coming out of the shadows of your parents and the institution that has defined you. The play had humour, emotion and depth. Really looking forward to seeing more from this company.

this show was incredible, the cast had incredible chemistry, the movement and blocking was really engaging despite the minimalistic set and it was really emotional. So so funny but by the end I had a lump in my throat. everyone was amazing and I can’t wait to see what they do next! 5 stars for sure!!

Hilarious and relatable - this show is a genuine must see for all ages. My expectations were already high but I was still blown away by the brilliant choreography and clever comedic timing. The cast are an absolute credit to themselves; their choice of set is very impressive as they create a variety of scenarios using only 5 chairs. Each character is equally integral to the show and has crafted their own unique personality and storyline. 5 stars !!

A fantastic show with a hilarious, sincere, and authentic script; true to the jokes, worries, and interpersonal relationships experienced in the school days. The acting ability of all 5 stars was scarily good, from next-level comedic delivery to genuine emotional performance. The cast also complemented my jumper so I know they've got style too. One to catch before their run at fringe ends, and a set of actors to remember the names of.

I didn’t know what to expect going into see Something Educational but I can honestly say I was blown away. I laughed, got emotional and looked back upon my school days with joy. The skill, talent and acting chops of the 5 stars is incredible for such a young age. I would not be surprised if that group sees an award or two in their time.
5 STARS HANDS DOWN!!!!

A memorable experience to say the least - leaving school for me was something personal, something I thought no one could recreate, but my lord. Each one of these talented actors have made it an emotional rollercoaster, and I’m so excited to see where they go next in the industry. The writing is compelling and to add to how perfect each one of their comedic timing is just comes to show how talented these guys are.
A privilege to watch. Thank you.

Superb show - one of a select few productions which manages to capture the rollercoaster of emotions associated with leaving school. Truly authentic performances from the entire cast, managing to illustrate the space for the audience so vividly and keeping us grasped throughout. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for this talented group!

Wonderful writing paired with brilliant performances make this show impossible not to enjoy. With apparent ease, friendship is conjured, anatomised and dissected onstage—all with plenty of laughter and real feeling along the way. Come see this show—they are all well worth a watch. School has never been more fun!

This is a funny, refreshing and charming show written and directed by a young theatre maker who has a bright future ahead of her. The cast of recent graduates of the Junior Conservatoire of Scotland are ones to watch. They are excellent performers with great comic timing and they share moments of real truth about the friendships we make at school.
