Description
What do William Shakespeare and Johann Sebastian Bach have in common? Sebastian Michael, author of The Sonneteer and Sonnetcast podcaster, is trying to find out, bringing you some of his and your favourite sonnets and connecting them – somewhat adventurously – to a fugue. Expect glorious poetry, some fascinating insights, and one or two surprises…Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. My mum (80) and I (47) went to see Sebastian's Sonnets and Bach today. We had a great time. It was intimate, interesting and engaging. I'm not a huge Bach or Shakespeare fan but his chat and analysis of the sonnets was clever and funny. A very impressive repertoire too. Will definitely check out his Sonnetcast podcast.
